Prayer came at a time in the Prophet (S.A.W)’s life when had been truly hit with grief and hardship. When we look at the story of Isra’ and Mi’raaj (the night journey) the details of the journey tell us it wasn’t an ordinary occurrence. After losing two of the most beloved people to him, his wife Khadijah (R.A) and his uncle Abu Talib, salah was introduced to the Prophet (S.A.W) as a direct way to supplicate and connect to our Lord.
